“If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.”
2 Timothy 2:21
The Bible tells us:
“For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:” 1 Corinthians 1:26
This means that hinging on your past or your environment as a reason not to answer the call and work for God is vain and futile, he doesn’t consider those factors, instead he makes you what he desires. Jesus told Peter:
“…Come ye after me, and I will make you…” Mark 1:17
All Peter had to do to be ‘made’ was to follow him- in his service to and passion for God.
And the Bible tells us:
“giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints (God’s people) in the Light.” Colossians 1:12 Amplified Bible
He has already qualified you to partake- share in, utilize and enjoy- the inheritance (purposes, name, Spirit, power) of the saints (including the fervent Apostles) in light. You are qualified to share in their boldness, fervor and commitment.
