It was another wonderful time with God’s Word on Sunday as Pastor expatiated on the importance of agreeing with the Lord. From Amos 3:3- “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” She showed us that it is necessary for two people to agree on something, else they won’t be able to walk together.
She further emphasized the fact that God sees things via his own light, and the Bible says “God is light”, hence he uses himself as a standard, so in order for us to perfectly agree with him, we need to see things through his own light.
Therefore, knowing that God is his word, and his word is light (Psalm 119:130) we learn to see things through the word of God.
Pastor cited an example from Matthew 9:24; how Jesus functioned under God’s light and woke Jairus’ daughter from sleep (death) because he had said earlier that she was sleeping. Even when his bold remark was met with scornful laughter he remained unmoved!
In our life, we have to learn to agree with what God has said even if the outwardly, things seem different, we learn to remain under God’s Light. What a wonderful service it was!!!
