“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”  Galatians 5:25

He tells us:
“Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.”  Galatians 5:26
Coincidentally, the Bible tells us that love is antithetical to these attributes he warns us about:
“Love is always patient; love is always kind; love is never envious or arrogant with pride. Nor is she conceited, and she is never rude; she never thinks just of herself or ever gets annoyed. She never is resentful;” 1 Corinthians 13:4-5, ISV
So walking in love is walking in the Spirit, and it’s no surprise because God is love.
“that is, you will know the love of the Messiah—which transcends knowledge, and will be filled with all the fullness of God.”  Ephesians 3:19, ISV
And he emphasizes that our understanding and expression of love will be directly proportional of our expressions of his fullness.
“For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?”  1 Corinthians 3:3
If you walk in the spirit, if you walk in love, you would not walk as men. This means you would not see, talk or respond as men, God wants you spiritual and he says these are the things you should put away from your life. Stop seeking to please men, stop seeking vain glory for yourself, don’t provoke others except to good works and quit being jealous or comparing yourself with others- that is not wisdom.
“…they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.”  2 Corinthians 10:12
