“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”
Galatians 5:6
Growing up on the earth, there is a way we were taught to act or respond to situations- children are carefree, adults worry. Worrying becomes a sign of responsibility, in extension, a sign of growth.
When we receive information through our ears or eyes that seems to go against what we had hoped or planned for, our desire would be to react to what we have heard or seen. That desire to live life based on the information gotten through our five senses is called the desires of the flesh- and until these five senses have been trained by the word of God, whatever their fruits, it will not last!
When we read about or hear bad news, we should worry, adults worry, worrying shows us and the world that we are responsible, but the word of God says:
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Philippians 4:6
God says nothing should make you worry- not even what you have seen or heard on TV as true. When you choose to ignore what God has said and go the way you feel you should, then you have fulfilled the desires of the flesh and the Bible says:
“So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:8
