“If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.”
John 15:10

He already made clear that when we know the dimensions of the love of Christ, we would be filled with all the fullness of God- Ephesians 3:17-19.
Just as he expects us to express his love to others, we ought to be conscious of his love for us, just as Jesus was conscious of God’s love for him and vocalized it:
“For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth…” John 5:20
And because you know he loves you, your life become an expression of your love for him; everything you do is rooted in your love for the Lord, just like Jesus:
“But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.” John 14:31
This is his first expectation:
“And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength…” Mark 12:33
Your understanding of any subject is an expression of your love for the Lord, the strength you exude in any given task is an expression of your love for him, because you know he didn’t spare his best for you- Romans 8:32
