“…who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Esther 4:14
Be inspired by those who have gone ahead of us: in chains, and before the Governor, the Apostle was not starstruck or intimidated, he was so persuaded that he was better placed than any man who was yet to receive the life Jesus brought that it didn’t matter who he was talking to- he preached the gospel. Listen to him talk in the middle of his trial before a new Governor, Festus:
“And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.” Acts 26:29
Look at the ‘all that heard him that day’:
“So the next day Agrippa and [his sister] Bernice… accompanied by the military commanders and the prominent men of the city…” Acts 25:23 Amplified Bible
yet he remained persuaded that without Christ, he was better placed and vocalized his belief.
Jesus had promised: “…being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.” Luke 21:12
He expects us to stand before kings not to laugh sheepishly and boast in ungodly associations but take advantage of that access and reach them for him.
