“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”
Galatians 6:10

The Bible tell us:
“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32
Be tenderhearted; that doesn’t mean being misguided and emotionally involved with everyone that crosses your path- that’s indiscipline and should not even be mentioned amongst Christians.
He sandwiches being tenderhearted between kindness and forgiveness; be quick to forgive others and do not hold a grudge.
Also, be kind to people without being cajoled by their near death experience or expressions.
Allow yourself to be persuaded to forgive those who have hurt you and go ahead and pray for them- that is the Christian way:
“Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.” Luke 6:28
And stay far away from any suggestion that you must be vengeful and sadly become exactly like those who hurt you- that is the voice of satan, with a purpose to hurt even more.
