“that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
Read the preceding verse:
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” 2 Timothy 3:16
He tells you all scripture is inspired by God and will profit you- You would either learn something new, you would be corrected, make adjustments and improvements in your life plus you would also learn to make right choices- all of these are fully available to you.
God’s desire for you is that anytime you approach the word, you leave better:
“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3:18, Malachi 3:16-18, Corinthians 11:17
Get to the word for yourself primarily, not for others- the Pharisees approached Jesus- the living word- only to argue and find faults and they didn’t leave better, the multitude approached Jesus to see the miracles he did, but one woman met Jesus for herself and her situation and she left totally better and completely whole. Luke 11:53-54, John 7:31, 10:41, Mark 5:25-34.
