“And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.”
Mark 10:51
What a question! If he has said anything at that moment; he would have gotten it. He wanted his sight back and he got it.
What do you want? What do you want done unto you?
“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15:7
The word of God abiding in you imparts faith to your spirit, and so irrespective of the level of faith you have, it will grow and that growth would propel you to insist, despite seeming challenges, to get whatever you want!
“And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.” Mark 10:48
In the main verse, the blind man was told to hold his peace, which was a polite rendering of “shut up!”, the people who rebuked him, were many, they had an advantage over him- they were closer to Jesus and they could see, he could have felt bad and kept quiet, and missed his moment, but not Bartimaeus!
When they told him to shut up, “he cried the more a great deal”, the man began to make a scene as he shouted, he knew Jesus could heal him (that’s faith) and when he vocalized what he knew and was told to shut up, he shouted more than those telling him to keep quiet (that’s GREAT faith!)
See what he got for that expression: “What wilt thou?”
Great faith insists and win!
