“Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt…”
Matthew 15:28
Great faith would give you anything you want; everything will be as you will.
Great faith doesn’t give up in the face of seemingly staggering challenges, great faith insists and wins!
There is no faith expressed outside the word of God; one cannot have great faith for the demotion, loss or death of an individual. Faith comes by hearing the word of God and so faith can only be an obvious representation of the word of God, so he says:
“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15:7
Great faith takes God at his word; the word of God is enough:
“The centurion answered and said, Lord…speak the word ONLY… Matthew 8:8
Even after Jesus had said this:
“…I WILL COME and heal him.” Matthew 8:7
What an opportunity! The Centurion would get Jesus to come to house! That should be the privilege of the century (there are people who believe that if Jesus just appeared to them, every single problem they’ve had would disappear) but the Centurion told Jesus not to bother, he said Jesus’ word was enough! Is Jesus’ word enough for you? Can you live your life on Jesus’ words only, for example he said:
“I repeat it: Don’t let worry enter your life. Live above the anxious cares about your personal needs.” Luke 12:29, TPT
Is that enough for you?
Jesus was so amazed at the Centurion, instead of feeling unwelcome to his house, he said:
“…Verily I say unto you, I have not found SO GREAT FAITH, no, not in Israel.” Matthew 8:10
That’s great faith; the word of God is enough, and if you live by this faith, Jesus has an idea about how your life would go:
“…as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee…” Matthew 8:13
