“Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.” Nehemiah 2:4
Nehemiah was in a position where he could ask for anything he desired from the king and his request would either be met or rejected, given such a tremendous opportunity, he prayed to the Lord, this shows he was conscious that God would hear him at that very moment and the Bible tells us:
“And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah… So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time.” Nehemiah 2:5-6
He found favour in the sight of the king and he left with his request, this is exactly what happened with the Israelites, they found favour in the eyes of the Egyptians and didn’t leave empty, this same God that grants favour lives in you today, are you conscious?
