“That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;”
Colossians 1:10

He had told us that it is possible that we know God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, it gets even better, in the main verse, he prays that the church at Colosse would walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing; what this means is that God would take pleasure in the fact that they walk worthy of him.
‘Walking worthy of the Lord’ is not the same as ‘walking worthy to Lord’, he’s not saying live your life in a bid to become worthy to God. The word ‘worthy’ is from the Greek ‘axios’ which can be rendered ‘in a manner worthy of’, ‘as becometh’, etc.
So the first line of the main verse would read “that ye might walk in a manner worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing…”, it’s like a man who’s next in line to be king but frequents the pub, it would not be unusual for those around him to chastise him for not walking ‘in a manner worthy of’ the next king; he isn’t walking ‘as becometh’ the next king.
There is a way the Lord lived his life on the earth and the word has emphasized that he expects you live your life that way:
“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” 1 John 2:6
The main verse makes it clear that is is possible for you to live as becometh the Lord in all righteousness and true holiness. Actually, when you got born again, you were born that way:
“And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” Ephesians 4:24
