“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.”
James 3:17

The wisdom that is from above is full of mercy and good fruits; isn’t it amazing the measures with which we ought to apply in discerning the wisdom that is from God? Such beautiful virtues we are told to look out for- all true and expressions of the nature of God, afterall the Bible shows clearly that God is love.
“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” 1 John 4:8
If it is wisdom from God, it is full of mercy and good fruits; so we know surely that Jesus’ forgiveness of the adulterous woman in John 8:1-11 was the wisdom of God fully displayed; while he obviously was merciful to her, he also showed mercy to her detractors- they also were sinners and yet he didn’t vilify them but let them go their way peacably, that is the wisdom from above.
If its from above, it doesn’t seek the condemnation of others avariciously; instead it seeks mercy, Jesus emphasized:
“But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.” Matthew 12:7
While you discern the wisdom from God with these measures, you also ought to walk in wisdom- expressing God’s mercy and good fruits towards others.
