“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.”
James 3:17
The wisdom that is from above is without partiality and without hypocrisy.
The word of God is unchanging, and anyone who sticks to the word of God would be unchanging- constantly expressing God’s word at all times. He says the wisdom that is from above is without partiality; if we live our lives based on God’s word, then we would consistently express God’s word at every instance of our lives; there would be no room for partiality. If we live our lives based on God’s word, then we would be doers of the word and not hearers only and we would be far removed from the leaven of the pharisees who talk but do not live their lives as an expression of what they say:
“Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.” Luke 12:1
“Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: 3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.” Matthew 23:2-3
This is why your temporal sensual satisfaction should not be the determinant of what wisdom (or counsel) you decide to espouse or express; only the word of God is qualified to be such a determinant, this means even if it doesn’t feel good to act or sound a particular way, because it is the word of God and you are seeking to express the wisdom from above; you’d say and do what the word of God instructs
