“There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” Joshua 1:5

God spoke these words to Joshua when he took over leadership of the Israelites from Moses. Very similar to the words spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ in Luke 10:19, where he said “nothing shall by any means hurt you”, meaning that as far as God is concerned, there can be no successful opposition against you. How powerful!

These and many more were the glorious words we received during the last SUED service. In that message, Pastor showed us that all that is required for us to live in this reality is having the knowledge and consciousness.
Recalling that this is our month of instructions, Pastor took us through the instructions God gave to Joshua and taught us how to apply them to our lives. The first instruction given in Joshua 1:6-7 was to be strong and of a good courage inspite of circumstances that may want to force us to respond otherwise.
Pastor then took time to explain the vital instruction given in Joshua 1:8, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
Pastor showed us that God has already made us prosperous but to walk in this reality, we need to follow this instruction. We must ensure that the word of God is always on our lips and as we speak the word, we meditate on it, in other words, we pay attention to and are conscious of the words we speak, in doing this, our success is assured. We learnt that the world may offer many uncertain roads to success but only by following God’s instruction and taking it seriously can you guarantee your success for yourself.
Most importantly, Pastor showed us from the scriptures that this is exactly how God operates and how Jesus operated while he was on the earth, always talking, proving that it is a principle that actually works.
So much to learn and live by from this enlightening message.
