Today’s Devotional
The bible tells us those we should pray for: Hebrews 13:3
Those in bonds: those arrested and persecuted for their faith; it’s happening even today in various parts of the world, some have been disowned by their family members, others have been condemned to death by their governments, but we can pray and actually turn things around:
"For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through YOUR PRAYER, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ," Philippians 1:19
Paul is saying that he knew their prayer would work for his release, that’s how effective our praying can be. We didn’t read Acts 12:1-17 for nothing.
Hear Paul again:
"Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;" Romans 15:30-31
And how their prayers worked:
"For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me. Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day..." Acts 26:21-22
Pray-pray for other Christians in faith, knowing that your prayer is causing an earthquake, a divine intervention, a strengthening and a deliverance!
