“Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.” Hebrews 4:11
Today’s Devotional
He expects you to labour to enter into “that” rest; the rest made available in Christ. In other words, many situations would arise to trouble you but don’t let them, Jesus said:
Â
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me." John 14:1
Believe in the word, and don’t let your heart be troubled, irrespective of what you see, feel or hear.
So expect situations to arise that can cause an unease but your belief in God’s word which says:
"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world..." 1 John 5:4
Should remain steadfast in your heart, and like Jesus, declare peace in that situation and:Â
"...not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." Mark 11:23
