Today’s Devotional
A steward of God should be able to exhort and convince people with the word. Your knowledge of God’s word must not be lacking, Jesus told us of the Holy Spirit:
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:26
You should have what he has said stored up in your heart; keep his word in the midst of your heart.
Jesus also told us of the Holy Spirit:
“…take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.” Matthew 10:19-20, see also John 14:10
He would give you words to speak, he would take control, so your personal fellowship with God’s word would translate in your public partnership with the Holy Ghost to win souls and bring men to the knowledge of the truth.
