” Memory Verse
“Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.”
Titus 1:9
Today’s Devotional
As a steward of God, God’s word is your standard, always remember- words are powerful and potent. The Bible shows us:
“There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.” 1 Corinthians 14:10
Every word is significant- significantly improves your fellowship with the father and the son or derails it: 1 John 1:3
No wonder he tells us to incline our ears:
He tells us they become captives and victims of the devil- listening rightly influences living rightly; it matters what you pay attention to as God’s steward- give yourself to the word. It also matters what you minister to God’s people:
“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.” Proverbs 4:20
Many things might try to get your attention, but the instruction to you is to bend and lean towards God’s word; let God have your heart, delight yourself in his word:
“My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.” Proverbs 23:26

This is something you can and ought to do.
