Today’s Devotional
In the main verse, he tells us to walk by faith and not by sight- meaning live your life by the word not by what you observe physically. He’s teaching us to walk as sons of God, Ephesians 5:1. The Bible also tells us:
“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” 1 John 2:6
This means walking by faith, walking in the light of his word is not an option but an indication of one who abides in him. Learn imitation from Jesus: how did he walk? Just like the father:
“…God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.” Romans 4:17
And so he called life to a man who was bedridden and the man started walking: John 5:8-9, he eventually said;
“For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.” John 5:21
