The Bible tells us the reason the disciples didn’t consider the miracle of the loaves- their hearts were hardened: Mark 6:52
Are you quick to believe God’s word and his mighty hand or do you try to analyze logically and eventually doubt the mighty hand of God like Zechariah?
“And Zacharias said to the angel, How may I be certain of this? For I am an old man, and my wife is far on in years.” Luke 1:18, BBE
Notice, he wasn’t talking to another man but a real angel from God! And the angel told him he came to answer HIS prayer- he was being granted a miracle:
“But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard…” Luke 1:13
Yet he questioned the possibility and asked for a sign!
Because the disciples hearts were hardened, they were completely shocked at the sight of Jesus walking on water:
“And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.” Mark 6:51
A heart that’s quick to believe God’s word and the expression of God’s word would see even more: John 5:20
