” Memory Verse
“For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:”
Titus 1:10
Today’s Devotional
It’s interesting how unruly behavior and vain talk go hand in hand, just like in the main verse Apostle Paul shows us many were unruly and talked a lot of nonsense, the Apostle Jude says the same thing of those who reject authority in verse 8:
“But these speak evil of those things which they know not...” Jude 1:10
The Apostle Peter points out the same ungodly trait:
“…Ready to take chances, uncontrolled, they have no fear of saying evil of those in high places:” 2 Peter 2:10, BBE
It serves as a pointer; a man who’s submissive in the eyes of God would be located via his mouth; the kind of things he says especially about authority and those who have the rule over him in Christ would always be indicative of his walk with God; and as a steward of God, you ought to notice this and adjust your thoughts and communication. There is a better attitude you should possess:
“And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake…Now we exhort you, brethren, WARN them that are unruly…” 1 Thessalonians 5:12-14
