” Memory Verse
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
Luke 2:14
Today’s Devotional
God said:
A man who expects peace in heaven, even though Jesus was right there physically in front of him would search for peace and never find:
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee…” Hosea 4:6
And how exemplified this was in Jesus’ day, the Bible said in Mark 6:1-13, in his home town he could not do many mighty works, why? They rejected him—
So the blind man, lame, sinner would remain incapacitated and on that road to hell for nothing! But see what Jesus did:
“And he marvelled because of their unbelief. AND HE WENT ROUND ABOUT THE VILLAGES, TEACHING.” (Mark 6:6)
He began to teach, he sent his disciples out also (they wouldn’t be too familiar with them as they were with him because he grew up in their midst): he thought an increase in knowledge was the answer- once they knew better they would live better and yes, they did:
“And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.” Mark 6:13
Close the knowledge gap— get to the word:
“Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16
