” Memory Verse
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
Luke 2:14
Today’s Devotional
The man who expects peace on the earth and the peace that Jesus gave would walk in victory!
Asides from his arrest, Jesus walked in victory. When the storms showed up, he didn’t start a long sanctimonious rant about how peace was only reserved in heaven- he spoke peace to the storms:
“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” Mark 4:39
He’s the one who told us this:
“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.” Matthew 7:24-25
We should anticipate the storms of life but if we do the word- move from sanctimonious communion with the word to active Christian living; we would always remain standing! That’s for the man who has Jesus’ peace: John 14:27.
The peace only knowing and doing the word would wrought:
“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15:7
