” Memory Verse
“Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.”
Psalms 119:67
Today’s Devotional
He makes clear his observation- before he faced affliction, he strayed from the word, because the word is righteousness:
“My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.” Psalms 119:172
Staying with the word, keeping the word is the only way to walk in righteousness; to have things go right irrespective. Straying from the word ensures the opposite happens- things would begin to go wrong.
Irrespective of how compelling the case is, always stick to the word- remember, God’s word made all things, including the future and so in the present there might be better options, but rest assured, the eternal word of God would always be proven right!
“But the word of the Lord endureth for ever...” 1 Peter 1:25
How amazing it is that we have access to this word and we can abandon our lives- our decisions and responses on the never failing word of God.
