Today’s Devotional
Satan comes for the word:
“When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart...” Matthew 13:19
Why? The main verse: if he can cause you to stray from the word, you can be afflicted unto death:
“For to be carnally minded is death…” Romans 8:6
So the challenges you face have an end, depending on who you stick with. If you stick with the word, he promises you:
“…this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4
It’s not just your experiences that would get worse but your sense of judgment and discernment, it’s a slippery slope to becoming unrighteous:
“They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law.” Psalms 119:150
And so, always see the bigger picture, when the challenge arises- what result producing word did you just receive that satan wants to steal from you?
