Today’s Devotional
He continues from the main verse:
“Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.” Titus 1:11
There are people who have destroyed families because of selfishness, they introduce teachings and doctrines that isolate family members, introduce distrust and elevate themselves, hear Apostle Paul:
“Am I now your enemy, just because I told you the truth? Those people may be paying you a lot of attention, but it isn't for your good. They only want to keep you away from me, so you will pay them a lot of attention.” Galatians 4:16-17 CEV
And all of this is towards a selfish end. He already showed us the strategy of such individuals, they are unruly and speak vainly, they convince their targets to disrespect their spiritual authority with an end goal of getting them fully isolated under their own authority.
While we ought to rebuke such behaviors when we see them, we should examine ourselves with the word and ensure we are walking a different and righteous path.
