” Memory Verse
“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”
John 15:7
Today’s Devotional
Check out this reality:
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” 1 Peter 5:8
You have an eternal adversary that is committed to your destruction, don’t forget or pretend that you don’t. That’s why he tells you to be sober! But, there is another reality on how to respond:
“Whom resist stedfast in the faith…” 1 Peter 5:9
Simple!
“Neither give place to the devil.” Ephesians 4:27
It is true that there is a spirit that is bent on taking advantage of any situation to discourage you, to cause you pain, to reach your family and you must be aware of it so you don’t ascribe to the physical or emotions what is being wrought by him, but it is also true that dealing with the spirit is as easy as commanding him to leave:
“…Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7
Maybe there is darkness, it is a reality that you can command light out of darkness! 2 Corinthians 4:6. Now that you have the word, ask what you will of that situation and watch it being done.
