Today’s Devotional
Making agreements in prayer is so potent and important, we see how the apostles decided to take the challenge from the leaders of Israel to their company and after prayer, the place was shaken and they were filled with the Holy Ghost! We see another instance in Acts 12:6-10.
“Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.” Acts 12:5
The Bible tells us Herod had his plans to execute Peter but the prayer of agreement by the church circumvented his plans!
“And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.” Acts 12:7
They prayed in agreement without ceasing, and heaven responded— an heavenly being was deployed and Peter was released:
“Whatsoever ye shall loose on earth is loosed in heaven!” Matthew 18:18
