Today’s Devotional
Hear what Jesus told Peter:
“Jesus answered, "Maybe I want him to live until I come. That should not matter to you. You follow me!"” John 21:22, ERV
In other words, he didn’t oblige Peter asking him about John, he wanted Peter to focus on his relationship with him and you see this truth through the word, he was the one who told us:
“"Be careful! When you do something good, don't do it in front of others so that they will see you…When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites. They love to stand in the synagogues and on the street corners and pray loudly. They want people to see them.…” Matthew 6:1, 5 ERV
Don’t care that people see your fellowship with God and praise you, don’t compare yourself against what others are doing and judge yourself better or worse. Focus on your walk with God- what he’s asked you to do.
“But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.” Romans 14:10
