Today’s Devotional
God’s word is our only standard, he tells us when we behold the word, we are looking at our natural face in a mirror:
“If you hear the message… you are like people who stare at themselves in a mirror” James 1:23, CEV
clothes you’d buy, you might not be completely correct because no matter how much, they would not match you completely.
Not the word.
“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” 1 Peter 1:23
“Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth...” James 1:18
We are born of the word and we look like the word, we can say with as much confidence concerning our oneness with our father (being offsprings of the word) as Jesus did here:
“If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.” John 14:7, see also John 10:30, John 8:19, John 12:45
And so the only true adjustments you need to make in life are adjustments that ensure you express God’s word completely.
