Today’s Devotional
Imagine that, Jesus said the Pharisees were FULL of hypocrisy and iniquity, yet they sat to judge others! How did they not think to examine themselves first? The Bible tells us:
“Test yourselves and find out if you really are true to your faith. If you pass the test, you will discover that Christ is living in you. But if Christ isn't living in you, you have failed.” 2 Corinthians 13:5, CEV
If Jesus lives in you, you’d keep his word, you would be submissive to his word and let his word guide your life. John 15:5. This is the life of virtue.
Christianity isn’t a struggle with sin and the viles of this world, at the moment you got born again- he said:
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4
Christianity isn’t also pretending to be right towards men yet deep in sin and iniquity towards God! In Christ, you have received a new life, and through his word, he shows you who you are right now and expects you to adjust and live accordingly: James 1:25.
