Today’s Devotional
A steward of God should love good men, he should love goodness, read this:
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8
He shows you can control what you think about, and ensure only virtuous and lovely thoughts stay in your contemplations, it’s exactly the same way you can choose your associations and the things that get your attention. The Bible tells us:
“Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.” 3 John 1:11
Follow that which is good, follow people, cling to associations that exhibit the same lofty values given you in God’s word.
