” Memory Verse
“Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.”
Psalms 119:67
Today’s Devotional
Don’t stray from the word, the sole purpose of the adversary that you have- your sworn enemy dedicated to your destruction, is to get you to sway from God’s word. The Bible says:
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore…” Ephesians 6:13-14
Jesus made clear that listening to the word is like building a house: Matthew 7:24-27.
But that building attracts the storms of life, satan comes to destroy that building, but those who not just hear but do the word would remain untouched by the seeming affliction. The house that DOES NOT move is the house that DOES the word! The one that falls is the one that didn’t stand on the word.
So don’t be surprised by the challenge of lack or whatever it may be- it’s a fight after all, and you have already won. Stand on your victory.
“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life…” 1 Timothy 6:12
