Today’s Devotional
Look at these guys:
But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.” John 9:18
The blind man had been there long enough for people to notice and ask him questions after they saw he could see:
“The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.” John 9:8-9
And all those times, nobody consulted his parents to confirm if he was just trying to swindle people, but after Jesus had healed him, watch the Pharisees become investigators!
How distasteful! To see the power of God and in other to convince themselves otherwise, choose to question if the original problem was even so. People haven’t changed; be different! Even after his parents bore witness to the miracle, they still excommunicated him (John 9:34); such “unpersuadableness”- be different!
