Today’s Devotional
The Bible talks about sincerity, he expects us to live sincere and blameless lives until the day of Christ; this means it is possible:
“That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;” Philippians 1:10
It is possible to be honest, non-manipulative and very clear about who you are, what you believe and what you are about irrespective of the circumstance. Look at Jesus, the Bible tells us:
“Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:” 1 Peter 2:22
He actually walked in righteousness and now that we have received his life, he expects us to walk accordingly:
“For even HEREUNTO WERE YE CALLED: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:” 1 Peter 2:21
That’s the life of glory and virtue we have been called to live- an expression of God’s moral excellence; his virtues to our world.
