” Memory Verse
“For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;”
Titus 1:7
Today’s Devotional
It matters that you hold yourself to the standard of the word because at the end of time, the word would judge all things. Hear what Jesus said:
“And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.” Luke 12:42-43
There are many stewards in God’s kingdom and he expects us all to be faithful and wise; ensuring those under us are ministered his word when they ought to be, and in doing so, he exhorts us:
“Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.” 1 Timothy 4:16
Do the word just like you want those you’d disciple to be committed to the word, do the same also, just like Jesus did:
“And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.” John 17:19
